St Alkmunds Church is a dominant feature of the town, which has many beautiful buildings from various time periods including medieval, Tudor and Georgian let settings. Whitchurch has been internationally renowned for its clock production since the 1650s, and it is known as the Home of Tower Clocks - an example of this can be seen on one of the barns within the town. There are many independent shops, pubs and restaurants, including two Michelin Star Restaurants, to explore as well as numerous other attractions to discover. Whitchurch is perfectly situated for touring all of Shropshire, North Wales and Cheshire, and is conveniently close to many major cities and attractions.
Attractions Chester Zoo is a 40-minute drive from the city and is the largest zoo in the UK, with over 30,000 animals from 500 different species. Bewilderwood is a 25-minute drive away from the city and is an adventure park made up of trees, outdoor activities, play areas, and more. Alderford Aqua Park is a 2-mile drive away and has a wide range of water activities, such as wakeboarding, Kayaking, and SUPs. Ironbridge World Heritage site is 30 minutes away by car and is home to many museums, factories, and attractions. This delightful cottage located in the countryside has all the amenities you could need for a great family holiday. On the ground level, the open plan living space includes a living area with a 50" Freeview TV, Blu-ray/DVD player, and laminate floor with French doors leading to a patio area. The dining area has a tiled floor, and the kitchen area has an electric range, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A cozy snug with Freeview TV also provides additional entertainment for the guests, while there is a separate toilet on the ground floor as well. On the first floor, beams add charm to the area that contains three bedrooms; double bedroom 1 has an en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet, bedroom 2 also has a double bed, and bedroom 3 has a single bed. A bathroom with bath, shower attachment, toilet and heated towel rail occupies the floor as well. Additionally, a separate staircase leads to bedrooms 4 and 5 which each have double beds and en-suites with shower cubicles and toilets. Bedroom 6 has a single bed. Another bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail completes the upper level. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests plus 2 infants, and travel cots, high chairs, and stairgate are available upon request. The property also offers a welcome pack, as well as an enclosed garden with a sitting-out area, garden furniture, and barbecue. There is private parking for up to four cars, and external utility room with coin-operated tumble dryer shared with the other cottage onsite.
