Location Llanbrynmair is a small, picturesque village located in the River Twymyn valley, in Wales. It is surrounded by rolling hills covered with soft green grass and oak trees, full of sheep and birds. Closely adjacent to the Southern reaches of Snowdonia National Park, it has a stunning view of Cader Idris (which is snow-topped in winter). In the centre of the village there is a charming, friendly pub, as well as a village shop and cafe. There is also an 11th Century church which adds to the quaint, old-world atmosphere of the village.
Attractions This area offers many great opportunities to experience the beauty of nature as well as visit historical sites. Within 35 minutes by car, visitors can explore the gorgeous golden sands of Aberdovey beach. Not far away, Cader Idris mountain awaits adventurous guests who want to climb the winding paths up to its summit. There are multiple castles in the area, such as Powis Castle, Edward I Castle near Newtown, Montgomery Castle, Harlech and Criccieth Castles, all worth a visit for their cultural importance. Bodnant Garden is also a must-see, with its multicolored rhododendrons and azaleas that provide an incredible springtime scenery. Nature lovers seeking something older should check out the 3,000 year old standing stones. 25 minutes away lies the Centre for Alternative Technology, with various craft centers and artisan shops nearby. King Arthur's Labyrinth provides a unique experience, guiding you through a boat ride while telling you local legends about the site. Barlings is a fantastic large group accommodation located in the rural, peaceful countryside of Llanbrynmair in Mid Wales. The properties, which include the Barn (sleeping up to 16 adults), The Wanws (sleeping up to 8 adults) and Goat Cottage (sleeping up to 4 adults), have been renovated to include modern luxuries such as full central heating and an indoor swimming pool. In total, the accommodation sleeps 28 adults (plus babies), with the added benefit that only one group rents out the accommodation at any given time.

Amenities include a squash court, sauna, pool table, table tennis table, wood burning stove, 20 acres of Bluebell woodlands (including 1 acre of gardens with wildflower meadow and summer house), charcoal BBQ, camp fire and 42" flat screen TV with SKY Plus Sports/Movies package and an iPod Dock.

The surrounding area provides many activities like fishing, golf, bird watching, sandy beaches and sailing. Barlings also gladly accepts pets by prior arrangement and requests that there's no smoking inside the barn. Baby facilities are also available with 3 cots, 3 high chairs, baby bath, potty and booster seat. All in all, this is the perfect location for relaxing, short breaks and week-long holidays with family and friends.
